Nicole Obélé is a songwriter, Performer coming from the heart of Africa. She is like her beautiful country, Cameroon, Africa in miniature, a   digest of cultures from here and there ...

Her music: her universe, she calls affectionately "Ekangazik" the musical bridge, is the result of that cultural mix that is her essence. Sounds from here, sounds from elsewhere ... This is the place where she can escape, remake the world in her own way, talk to the soul of those who want to be carried away the moment of some songs , the moment of some notes ... Sharing moment through performances where electrical environments and emotions rub shoulders.

From the pain due to the loss of a loved one, to the wounds of life, through lighter subjects, love in all its forms, her song is heard in all the languages that come to her. She likes languages, their musicality, sometimes percussive, sometimes melodious ... Ewondo, Fang, Bassa'a, Douala, Fufulde, Bulu, French, English, Portuguese are among those that so far I have been able to explore. A musicality highlighted by rhythms such as Afrobeat, Makunè, jazzy ballads, sometimes bikutsi, and many other rhythms drawn from the heart of Africa, always rewarded  with a touch of rock, with all the beautiful flights of guitars that it induces.

Around her, gravitate, Dietmar Ntakou, (keyboardist), Joly Mandengue, (bassist), also songwriter, Simplice Kengne, (guitarist), and Francis Ngombe (on drums) and percussions. The friendship that binds us for longer than the last six years spent skimming the scenes has become a complicity that can be seen on stage and produce a perfect symbiosis.
